We Are Not Dead
Mar/085
Just so you know. We have had an unpredictable month, interrupted by illness, wandering from house to house like shell-shocked survivors of some unspeakable disaster. Turns out we actually like rotating hosting duties, so we’re working on a mobile recording solution. There’s a backlog of podcasts, and a gap where we were wandering and not recording, but we all agree we’re having fun and want to keep it up. So expect more from us, soon.
Podcast #57: No More Mountains to Climb
Feb/082
More Dogs in the Vineyard, in which a flying canteen brains Clinton’s dude and kills him, and also an important announcement! We’re taking a break from talking about stuff until we’ve got stuff worth talking about. If you’ve got ideas for stuff worth talking about, let us know! Until then, we’re sticking to the post-game wrap-up.
Trepanation (holy crap, don’t follow this link)
Podcast #56: Character Archetypes
Feb/084
The sort of people you play over and over – who are they, and why do you play them? Do you have character blind spots? Are you in a thematic rut? What are you going to do about it? We look at each other’s past character choices and talk about what those choices might mean.
Then we mull over the morally complex Dogs in the Vineyard town of Honey in the Rock, Joe’s GMing debut, and follow up with a discussion about his perceptions of the GMing process.
Podcast #55: Robama!

Joshua A. C. Newman visits! We talk about politics, science fiction, games, and political science fiction games!

Our Band Could Be Your Life
Podcast #53: The Vision Thing
Jan/080
We talk about bringing a vision to the game. What happens when you bring specific ideas to the table? What happens when you know a lot about something? What happens when you pull in sources from other media? And what happens when they all come in contact with your friends and are changed forever?
Then, back to the horror and splendor that is My Life With Master.
(Also, please note that Joe’s floating, malignant head is now part of our banner.)
Podcast #52: Real People

We talk about ourselves, something we definitely like to do. Then we ruminate on the horror that is My Life With Master.

*I am sorry for mentioning Chromeo, a group that Autumn assures me Durham’s youth have less than no interest in –Jason
Podcast #51: Setting Limits
Dec/070
What are your limits? Where do you draw the line socially – and how? We reveal our own limits concerning pants, animal handling, and other issues. Then we talk about in-game lines and veils, where we itemize our personal parade of horrors and talk about trust.
Then, we finish up Sign In Stranger! If you don’t like the “actual play” aspect of our journals, stick around – because we have a discussion about this fascinating, challenging game after the readings.
Podcast #50: Among the Savage Danes
Nov/072
It’s our fiftieth episode! We talk about Jason’s trip to Denmark, then jump back into our insano Sign in Stranger game.
Viking Con 26 and one cool thing I saw there.
